About

Why Does Women Teach the Word Exist?

We equip women to study and teach the Bible together in the local church for the sake of the nations.

What Makes WTTW Different?

Biblical exposition is at the core of what we do.

We don't just want to equip women to teach the Bible. We want to equip women to teach the Bible in such a way that listeners hear God speak.

If you’re new to biblical exposition, check out our video (feel free to skip around).

How Does WTTW Equip Women to Teach the Word?

At Women Teach the Word, we equip women to confidently study and teach Scripture by offering practical resources, ongoing training, and a supportive community. Here’s how:

1. Free Bible Study

We’ve created a free expositional Bible study in 1 Timothy to help you get started with biblical exposition.

It’s beginner-friendly, but let’s be honest: you’ll need to study hard. This isn’t a quick devotional—it’s designed to stretch you, grow you, and challenge you as you dig into God’s Word.

Here’s our Bible study, totally free in digital form:

Also, if you love that pen-on-paper feeling, you can get the physical workbook as well:

2. YouTube

Our YouTube channel is packed with free resources to help you grow as a student and teacher of the Word. We post videos with practical tips, teaching strategies, and insights into biblical exposition.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your skills, these videos will help you take your teaching to the next level.

3. Our Online Community

We believe growth happens best in community. That’s why we’ve created a Mighty Network Community where women can connect, grow, and support one another in a collaborative setting.

In our network, you’ll find:

  • Group coaching opportunities.
  • Live Q&A sessions.
  • A community of women who are passionate about teaching the Word.
  • A guided path to help you level up your exposition game.

This is where we go deeper—together.

Who is Erin Piner?

Picture taken at The Summit Church Women's Conference 2023.

Erin Piner is the founder of Women Teach the Word.

She believes the nations will be reached by the church. And the church will be strengthened when women are equipped to use their gifts.

Therefore, she’s passionate about teaching the Bible and equipping other women to do the same in a local church.

Erin volunteers at The Summit Church, teaching women to exposit Scripture as the Teaching Track co-leader.

She's served as a part of Summit’s staff, she's worked as a sermon research assistant for pastor J. D. Greear, she served as an international missionary in Asia for over six years, she was a philosophy professor for a spell, and now she's a coorporate chaplain.

She's got degrees in Bible stuff, missions, and theology. She's currently a Ph.D. candidate for a degree in Biblical Exposition.

But Erin doesn't work alone!

Erin works with some other friends like Michal Rudolph (who helps with general teaching resources), Cheryl Sommers (who does graphic design), and Keri Bosch (who writes the curriculum).
